There's more to being a Tea Party than just being heard. By honing our skills, we will be heeded. The more knowledgeable and sophisticated we are in our political work, the more likely we are to influence the political process. Each year hundreds of citizen activists spend thousands of hours on political causes; and, yet, they often see little in the way of real results. Your time is valuable. You need to be sure that your activism will be optimally effective. Christopher has prepared a tailored version of The Real Nature of Politics for us and a presentation called Grassroots Lobbying. We'll learn the difference between gaining access to politicians versus wielding power with them. Hear about holding elected officials accountable throughout the year through local organizing and activities. Chris will provide us some homework assignments to keep us at the top of our game.
$10 advance registration required. Buffet Lunch included. Limited seating. Check in begins 11:30. Buffet served 11:45 to 12:10. Seminar begins promptly at 12:10. Because of the logistics of the venue, no late arrivals will be admitted.

We are comitted to the return to constitutional governance.
For Northern Va. Tea Party, Tea Party 2.0 began with joining the Virginia Tea Party Federation enabling broader, coordinated statewide action leading to conservative governance. Tea Party 2.0 means a new and improved website. Tea Party 2.0 means moving away from ad-hoc, unfunded governance and coordination to a structured, funded operation enabling staying power in NVA, a highly expensive operational environment. Tea Party 2.0 means expanded program to broaden outreach and coordinate campaign volunteerism for political leaders sympathetic to Tea Party governance objectives of limited, low cost government.
Tea Party 2.0 for NVA means a focused, disciplined effort aimed at changing the VA Senate from a governing body hostile to Tea Party objectives to a legislative body adhering to American legislative norms and giving floor debate to Tea Party favored legislation. Tea Party 2.0 means we take power away from centralized, bureaucratic administrators and return that authority to parents through school choice initiatives and replacing local school boards with Tea Party candidates.
Tea Party 2.0 means we’re asking our members to participate in campaign volunteer training. Then, take that training and find candidates worthy of your support and volunteer – here’s to another Tea Party year.
We serve the tea party patriots in the communities of NoVa including Fairfax County, Fairfax City, City of Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church City, Manassas Park, Manassas City, Loudoun County, Reston/Herndon, Town of Vienna and Prince William County.
